The Constituents of a Perfect Sunday

Happy Easter! Today is one of those days when the world is just right. I woke up at the decadently late hour of 8am, fed the chickens, whose efforts of the previous day supplied me with the most important constituents of a breakfast of fresh fried eggs, toast, coffee (with just a smidge of Irish Cream) and orange juice.

It is overcast and cool outside, and the breeze is rustling the curtains in my room as I sit and type. This morning I have been reading blogs from all around the world from kindred spirits who write and garden…Blotanical has been such a wonderful surprise. In addition to the great writing and gardening ideas I have been exposed to, the real value of the site for me lies in the fact that it has given me the reassurance that I am not the only “crazy plant loving hippie” out there. It can sometimes feel that way way down here in the Deep South. But there are a lot of us out there! I can’t wait to find them all!

Dear Bethany, Happy Easter Sunday! Your breakfast sounds to have been delicious and has put me in mind to treat myself to something very similar tomorrow morning. Alas, I shall have to content myself with shop bought eggs – life can never be quite perfect!!

I am so glad that you are enjoying being a part of Blotanical. It is, and can be, great fun and I am sure that you will soon find your own level of interaction. There are certainly many, many creative people out there to get to know. Although relatively new myself, I have now worked out a few things which can be difficult on the Blotanical site. Please do not hesitate to ask if you need any help.

I get hippier every year. And I used to wear strictly clean polos, attended a prep school, and have my stuffy PhD. Also used to play in the mud like a baseball catcher (squatter).

Happy Easter! I agree it was a great day with the nice breeze. I love being able to open the windows and sleep late!

Word! Blotanical has been a fun addition…. when Craigslist gets boring it’s always fun to roam garden blogs. :)

Edith- Hope your breakfast was as enjoyable as mine! I will definitely seek your advice on Blotanical.
Hey Benjamin, the world needs more people to shed their polos and dig their hands in the dirt! I have always been a little on the hippy side but am getting more radical as time goes on, I suppose. My dad always told me growing up that the most liberal young people end up being the most conservative adults, but so far I have escaped that fate!
    And, Craigslist is indeed fun!

Because of you, I want some tomato plants. Don’t tell Shubie, she’ll get a hernia laughing.
