Hi Keewee, it seems we are color kindred spirits!
Edith, I love the idea of stripes, I am going to have to try that one day when I am feeling very patient!
And Melissa, I can't wait to help you guys start a garden when I come home! PS Go for the flamingo!

Well, you'll be proud to know that you are finally rubbing off on me. Ean and I were given our first tomato plants today by a neighbor with overflowing abundance in his backyard garden. We are excited to plant them and see how things go. We have talked about building a little raised bed and trying a vegetable garden if we can keep these alive. I have even been on the lookout for some neat garden/yard art. (Gasp!) Don't tell my HOA. I almost bought a flamingo, but talked myself out if it. A mooning gnome may be just what I need though.

Dear Bethany, I LOVE your brightly coloured pots. I have painted pots for years and have found that they raise the status of inexpensive terracotta pots to another level. Just a further thought - have you tried painting stripes on your pots. I once did, in my eyes, a very successful two-tone cream combination but it did take a long time to get the masking tape exactly right.

Your red and blue pots are so colorful. I love bright color in my gardens. Recently I have bought several brightly colored tomato cages I also use to restrain some of my taller perennials.

Dear Bethany, Thank you so much for such a very generous compliment. You look absolutely wonderful in your hat which, clearly as Kimberly says, is confirmed by Moby [who also looks wonderful]. Happy gardening!

I need to learn how not to do "stress" as well. Just thinking about it stresses me out, so I guess I'm not there yet :)

Dear Bethany, I have so enjoyed [perhaps not your intention] this posting and I do so understand your anger and frustration. But, as you point out, nothing which a walk around the garden and a large glass of red wine cannot put right. For me, one of the consolations of becoming older is that I now refuse to do 'Stress'. I find life much easier and calmer since I took that decision.

Thank you so much for writing on my hats posting where I have made reply.
